Nyck de Vries is hopeful that he can get back up to speed “quickly” in Formula E, with this weekend’s
Season 7 World Champion Nyck de Vries left Formula E at the end of Season 8 to join AlphaTauri in Formula 1, but his time with the team was cut short after just 10 races. Now, he has returned to Formula E with Mahindra Racing, although he doesn’t know much about the team. Mahindra Racing has one of the weakest packages on the grid, but De Vries sees it as a long-term project. However, their pre-season has been troubled, with limited running due to a car fire and poor weather. De Vries enters Season 10 at a disadvantage, having completed the fewest laps in the off-season. Nevertheless, he is excited to start his journey with Mahindra Racing and is looking forward to racing in Mexico. Although he has some experience with the Gen3 car, De Vries admits that he is still adapting to its characteristics and learning new things. He is confident in the team’s support and hopes to quickly get up to speed.
